An excellent talk given by Mid &
West Wales
Fire & Rescue Service at the Angel Inn Narbeth. There were 3 Watch
Managers
present from the Brigade, Ian Barnes, Peter Jenning & Wayne Jarrett.
The
talk lasted for one hour & there was plenty of opportunity to ask
questions
afterwards. The subject, which was illustrated by a slide show, was
about rescue
of people from road accidents with emphasis on the dangers posed on
modern
vehicles by electronic & explosive devices used in vehicles to
protect
people. These devices, whilst offering safety for people in cars can be
dangerous to people attempting to make a rescue.
There was a good attendance of 19 IAM
Members &
together with the 3 fire officers the room was full. Everyone said that
they
found the talk most interesting & informative.
